Description

This blue-and-white lotus scroll pressing-hand cup is hand-thrown from Jingdezhen kaolin clay and fired at 1380°C in a high-temperature reduction atmosphere. The artisan hand-paints the scrolling lotus pattern in natural cobalt pigment on the luminous white porcelain body; the blue pigment naturally diffuses in the kiln fire, and the lines flow in continuous curves—every hand-painted brushstroke has its own distinctive charm.

Why you'll love it

• Comfortable to hold — Classic pressing-hand cup shape with a flared rim and low center of gravity, it fits snugly in your palm and feels steady and balanced.

• True tea flavor — The dense, fine kaolin clay body doesn't absorb stray flavors, fully preserving the original aroma of oolong, pu'er, and black tea.

• Handcrafted art — The scrolling lotus pattern is hand-drawn, every stroke made by the artisan's own hand—printing can never replicate this lively beauty.

Best for

Oolong tea, black tea, pu'er, aged white tea. It also makes an elegant Eastern gift for tea lovers, housewarmings, and birthdays.

Materials & craftsmanship

• Body: Jingdezhen kaolin clay

• Glaze: Natural mineral glaze, underglaze blue-and-white, lead-free

• Firing: Approx. 1380°C, high-temperature reduction atmosphere

Care

Hand wash with warm water and air dry naturally. Do not use in the microwave or dishwasher, and avoid direct contact with open flame. With long-term use, the tea gradually develops a warm, mellow patina, giving the cup its own unique character over time.
